Alex Forward.

Senior Project Manager

I keep complex programmes on the rails, and use AI to stay ahead of the complexity rather than buried by it.

01About

Senior Project Manager with over ten years' experience operating at the intersection of strategy and execution across consulting, enterprise and technology environments, including exposure to the insurance sector. Comfortable running several complex, high-volume workstreams in parallel, from structuring Board-level materials and coordinating senior stakeholder decisions through to delivery, and used to working at C-suite level across internationally matrixed organisations.

Treats AI and modern tooling as part of how the job gets done now, rather than a novelty. Projects keep getting more complex, with more moving parts and more systems that depend on each other, and that is where it earns its place: making sense of how a programme fits together, testing a plan before it breaks, and clearing the routine reporting and admin so the time goes to the harder judgement calls.

02How I work
/ 01

Seeing the whole system

Uses AI to get a clearer picture of how a programme fits together, work through different scenarios, and spot the knock-on risks that usually only surface later.

/ 02

Clearing the busywork

Automates the repetitive parts of the job, like status reports, documentation and tidying up data, which frees up time for prioritising, escalating and keeping stakeholders aligned.

/ 03

Knowing where the line is

As a core member of the company AI Strategy Group, advises on where GenAI actually helps and where a person needs to stay in control, including the data-protection and governance points that matter in regulated sectors like insurance.
